Why this planner does not assign injection dates
Two animals of the same age may have different previous doses, health needs and exposure risks. Bring the actual vaccination card rather than relying on “all shots done.” The clinic can match product names and dates to the appropriate next step. Do not restart, skip or administer a series based on this website.

Guidance behind the discussion topics
The AAHA canine guidelines, updated in 2024, include leptospirosis as a core recommendation. It should not disappear from a discussion simply because a dog does not go hiking. Geography and available products still matter; ask your local veterinarian how the guidance applies.
The AAHA/AAFP feline guidelines emphasize individual risk assessment. For kittens, discuss FeLV protection and testing; for adult cats, revisit exposure rather than assuming one permanent indoor/outdoor category.
For international context, the 2024 WSAVA vaccination guidelines address regional differences. Rabies requirements and acceptable certificates depend on local rules and travel destinations; the clinic or relevant authority must confirm them.
